“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." Matthew 6:28-29
Isn't it amazing? Solomon, one of the great kings of Israel, cannot compare to the beauty of fields of wildflowers. So we too need not worry about what to wear. Here at South Portland Church of the Nazarene we help fulfill the need for clothing in a very practical way: by collecting donations, then giving them away.
The clothing closet will be open Thursday, July 16 8:30am - 12:30pm here at SPCN. Click on the icons above for information on new procedures for entry & exit, cleaning, and illness. We will be giving away clothing only at this time (no household goods.)
Want to donate? Thank you! You can do so beginning July 2nd. We are asking for clothing only at this time. Donations should be brought to the main entrance (the glass doors under the carport) Mon-Fri between 7am and 5:30pm or to the clothing closet during open hours. If you would like a receipt, please call ahead: 207-767-2127.
We plan to be open on the first and third Thursday of every month here at SPCN from 8:30am - 12:30pm. Please follow all protocols. (Links are in the icons above.) You can help spread the word with the attached flyer.
